Participation in FIN competitions is subject to the Terms and Conditions, the Competition Handbook, and other official policies.

Summaries, promotional material, social media posts, infographics, or articles on the website do not replace the official competition rules.

Where information differs, the most recent official rules document published by FIN prevails, to the extent it does not conflict with applicable law.

Judging, species verification, point calculation, disqualification, and appeals are carried out under the competition rules in force.

8. FIN Intellectual Property

Copyright in submitted photographs remains with the photographer or the lawful rights holder.

By uploading their work, participants grant DEP a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and publish that work for the purposes of:

• FIN promotion and publication;
• Documenting activities; and
• Reporting to partners and sponsors.

The photographer will be credited where reasonably possible. Use beyond that scope requires additional permission under the applicable terms.

Participants warrant that submitted work is original, does not infringe copyright, privacy rights, or the rights of others, and that any necessary permissions have been obtained where people or third-party material is depicted.

10. Use of Personal Data

The processing of users' and participants' personal data is governed further by the FIN Privacy Policy. This disclaimer does not replace the Privacy Policy or any required data processing consent.

Users are advised to read the Privacy Policy before registering, uploading documents, submitting photographs, or using website features.

11. Service Disruption and System Security
